Important Information About Procedures for Purchasing Certain Life Insurance Products
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, the Federal law requires all financial institutions including life insurance companies who offer certain products to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who applies to purchase such products. Verification of identity applies to both new policies and when certain changes are made to the information on existing policies.
What this means for you:
When you purchase a qualifying life insurance product, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see a photo identification, which may consist of your driver’s license or other identifying documents. This verification process may include the use of third party sources to verify the information provided to us. Please be assured that this information will be treated with the highest regard for your privacy.
