Victor G. Carrillo is the Executive Director of Professional Responsibility and Government Affairs for International Leadership of Texas – a public charter school serving approximately 21,000 Texas students.
Carrillo has a Bachelor of Science in geology from Hardin-Simmons University, a Master of Science in geology from Baylor University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, and a graduate certificate in public management from The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.
Carrillo is a former energy sector Chief Executive Officer exploring for oil in Israel. Prior to that, he served as a statewide regulatory official over the Texas energy sector (oil, natural gas, pipelines). He is an attorney experienced in municipal, county, and state government issues and is a former city councilman, county judge, university professor, and geologist.
Carrillo currently serves on the following advisory boards: Global Chamber Dallas; Maguire Energy Institute at Southern Methodist University; Energy Council, Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas; and Hispanic Leadership Initiative.
He is a member of Local Chapter 446 and was appointed to the Germania Farm Mutual Board of Directors in 2021 and is active on subsidiary boards and committees.
