Michael Bayless attended Lamar University. He began his insurance career in 1981 and became a producer for Bayless Insurance in 1983. During his insurance career he worked as a marketing manager with a Life Insurance Company and marketing director for a Brokerage General Agency. In 2002, he became the agent and owner of Bayless Insurance.
Bayless is active in his community, having served on various boards and foundations.
Bayless was elected to the Germania Farm Mutual Board of Directors in 2013 and is active on its subsidiary boards and committees. He obtained his Farm Mutual Director Certification from the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies and earned the NACD Board Leadership Fellowship.
