John Caley graduated from the University of Arizona with a BSBA degree in accounting. He began his career with 11 years of public accounting experience with Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse, providing audit, mergers and acquisitions, and financial consulting services to Houston clients in multiple industries. He then accumulated another 20 plus years of executive level audit and compliance risk management experience at five publicly traded companies and one private company, serving boards, audit committees, risk committees, and executive management.
Caley has an active Texas CPA license and is a current or past member of the AICPA, the TSCPA, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He has served on the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee of the Houston Symphony and has chaired the Finance Committees for several non-profits.
Caley is a member of Local Chapter 36 and was appointed to the Germania Farm Mutual Board of Directors in 2015; also serving on the Audit Committee. In 2017, he was recognized by the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies for completing the Farm Mutual Director Certification Program. He earned the NACD Governance Fellowship in 2019.
