Germania Insurance has been honored by the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center (GCRBC) for its outstanding efforts to help and sustain lives through community blood drives.

In 2022, Germania donors provided 47 whole blood, 12 double red cells, eight automated, and six plasma donations. Germania team members Linda Oberhoff and Donna Haarmeyer accepted the award on behalf of Germania at the GCRBC’s annual A Celebration of Life luncheon Feb. 16 in Houston.

A Celebration of Life is Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's annual awards event and appreciation luncheon designed to recognize and celebrate its Commit for Life groups for all the countless lives saved through their efforts and blood drives.

“It was such an honor to be included in this year’s luncheon and to meet so many amazing groups with the same passion as our own,” said Oberhoff, who coordinates and organizes the drives on behalf of Germania. “We look forward to continuing this longstanding tradition of giving back to the community, and we are always looking for new donors to participate.”
