Germania is taking its brand on the road with the American Red Cross to aid in disaster relief, recovery, and education.
The American Red Cross serving Central and South Texas has unveiled a Germania-branded Chevy Impala as part of an ongoing partnership that kicked off in August. The Austin-based vehicle will be used by volunteers responding to disasters, donor visits, and trainings in the Central and South Texas region.
“Our partnership with the American Red Cross supports our corporate responsibility of supporting Texans in distress – beyond their insurance needs,” Germania President and CEO Brandon Keller said. “When people see our green-and-white handshake on the roads, we hope it brings the same feelings of comfort and security the Red Cross has delivered for more than a century.”
Earlier this year, Germania committed to supporting the American Red Cross through annual donations. As a leading auto, home, and life insurance provider for thousands of Texans, Germania hopes to complement the Red Cross’ mission of disaster relief and recovery by supporting those affected by tragedy across the region.
The American Red Cross Central and South Texas Region serves 83 counties, which are home to more than 9.4 million people. For more than 100 years, volunteers in every corner of the region have provided hope and comfort to their neighbors in crisis. Disaster-relief donations fuel Red Cross readiness and enable it to provide food, shelter, relief supplies, emotional support, recovery planning, and other assistance when the unthinkable happens. Donations also support basic needs for families affected by home fires — which comprise the bulk of Red Cross response efforts.
“Our volunteer vehicles are critical for the American Red Cross to provide its mission in a quick and efficient manner,” American Red Cross Regional Chief Development Officer Sunny Howard said. “The quicker we can get to patrons – who very well could be Germania customers or family members – helps us get them the care and resources they need as soon as possible.”
