AUSTIN, TX, - The American Red Cross serving Central & South Texas recognizes Germania Insurance, a leading auto, home, and life insurance provider for thousands of Texans, for supporting Red Cross Disaster Relief with a gift of $100,000. By making proactive donations, Germania Insurance helps keep the Red Cross prepared to help meet the needs of people affected by disasters big and small across the region.

Germania’s relationship with the American Red Cross began late last year when a deadly tornado outbreak swept through the southern United States. Germania and its agency partners joined forces to donate $3,000 to the American Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts. With a passion to continue its outreach, Germania has committed to an additional $100,000 donation annually for the next two years.
“Over the years, a natural partnership has emerged between Germania and the American Red Cross after having crossed paths on multiple occasions, responding to disasters of all scales,” said Germania’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Min Choi. “We wanted to take that next step in assisting the American Red Cross in providing vital resources and support for all the critical services they provide to Texans each year.”
The American Red Cross Central and South Texas Region serves 83 counties, home to more than 9.4 million people. For more than 100 years, volunteers in every corner of the region have provided hope and comfort to their neighbors in crisis. We convene the community to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies large and small. Disaster relief donations fuel Red Cross readiness and enable us to provide food, shelter, relief supplies, emotional support, recovery planning and other assistance when the unthinkable happens. Donations also support basic needs for families affected by home fires — which comprise the bulk of Red Cross response efforts.
